Reba McEntire's 'Love Somebody' debuts at No. 1 on Billboard country album chart

Oklahoma native and Country Music Hall of Famer Reba McEntire reignites the charts with a fiery passion, sitting atop the Billboard Top Country Albums - marking her 12th No. 1 album - and earning a No. 3 Billboard 200 all-genre debut for “Love Somebody” (Nash Icon Records).

The superstar's talent and popularity can't be denied, with 62,469 copies sold in the first week after nearly five years without new music, according to a news release.

Ascending to No. 1 on the iTunes Country Top Songs charts in both the U.S. and Canada, the project's sassy lead single "Going Out Like That" scored the biggest single sales debut of Reba's career and has already sold more than 100,000 downloads.

The latest offering bests Reba's 2010 “All the Women I Am” release, which ranked No. 3 country and No. 7 all-genre album charts with first week sales of 64,000 as well as a simultaneous chart-topper at country radio for "Turn On The Radio."

“‘Love Somebody’ is a brilliant home run with fans and critics alike," said Nash Icon Records GM Jim Weatherson in the release. “All of us at Nash Icon Records are thrilled with the success of Reba's twelfth No. 1 album ... a testament to her unmatched talent, dedication and loyal fan base."

In recent weeks, the iconic entertainer has endeared herself to devoted fans and new audiences with national television appearances on “Today,” “Watch What Happens Live,” “Morning Joe,” “Wake Up With Al,” “The Voice,” and a Texas-size performance during the 50th Anniversary Academy of Country Music Awards in Dallas, where she was honored with a Milestone Award for the Most Awarded Female Vocalist of the Year.

Reba will continue the media blitz in support of her new album Thursday, chatting with hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood on "The Talk," airing at 1 p.m. on CBS.
